Vesuvius

On our second day in Rome we took a day trip out to Vesuvius and Pompeii.

We got a good view over Naples and all the surrounding area.

We climbed higher over a really narrow windy road.

There was a visitor centre at the top and you could walk up a bit more but the heat was baking at 34 degrees.

And it was just above the clouds so you could see bugger all and so the boyfriend and I enjoyed an ice cream, cold coffee and a peruse of the tacky tourist stuff. All made of volcanic rock of course. Who wouldn't want the lovely volcanic rock penis with wings that ejaculates lava? Classy.
